AirPods Pro 3: Cannot use microphone with high-quality audio even after PipeWire setup

Hi everyone,

I'm using AirPods Pro 3 on Zorin OS and having trouble using both the microphone and high-quality audio at the same time.

Here’s the situation:

  • With A2DP (High Fidelity Playback) → audio quality is great, but microphone is not available.
  • With HSP/HFP (Handsfree mode) → microphone works, but audio quality becomes very poor.

I understand this is a common Bluetooth limitation, but I tried to fix it using PipeWire.

I followed this guide:

In the video, the person is able to use both the microphone and high-quality audio at the same time after configuring PipeWire.

However, in my case, it still does not work — switching to handsfree mode still reduces audio quality significantly.

Did You tried it with Pulse Audio Volume Control? It is a Tool to set up Audio Output and Input. You can install it with sudo apt install pavucontrol

After Installation check the Configuration, Input and Output Tab for setting up the Audio Profiles and check which one are available.

But HD Audio Controller inputs are still unavailable. Are there any config. tutorial?
