That's strange, every time I wanted to post a link it worked

well replying with hyper link worked. I wonder if it'll work if I used on a new post as well.

Technically, this is an hyperlink. When writing a post, reply or message you highlight a piece of text, click Hyperlink and add the link you want that the user will open when clicks the hyperlink, you see it as it gets bold and blue.
Also, probably until you don't get higher badges you have limited permissions available, meaning that probably you couldn't add even an hyperlink. But I don't know for sure, I never checked this thing at the beginning of my Zorin Forum experience, maybe I progressed too fast to notice it
