I would like to have programs open the same size and location that I close them, or to set their default launch settings. Is this possible?
I'm not sure how it can be done in Wayland.
On Xorg it should work with tools like xdotool, wmctrl, devilspie2...If you are a linux newbie, that's a bit difficult.
Or do you want to save a session?
In Zorin lite it is possible, I'm not quite sure about Zorin core.
Maybe this extension could help?
First install gnome extension manager and then open it and browse for the extension to install it. For Zorin 17 select shell 43, for Zorin 18 shell 46.
Edit: This extension saves the previous session and restores the previous windows at startup. You need to enable "Restore previous apps and windows at startup" at tab "Restore settings".
On my Virtual machine the position of the apps is not restored in the same way as before. So you'll have to try if the extension will work for you.
