Anydesk connection denied

Using Anydesk, I am unable to establish a connection from my Windows 10 and 11 PCs to my Zorin 18 machine. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it? Anydesk permissions on my Zorin machine are enabled.

Wayland is not supported need to login with x.org. Logout on the Zorin machine click your username and look for a gear icon at the bottom right of screen click and select Zorin on Xorg. Should work then.

  • Log in to Zorin OS and open a terminal window.
  • Edit the custom.conf file with administrator privileges. Use the command sudo nano /etc/gdm3/custom.conf.
  • Find the line that starts with #WaylandEnable=false.
  • Remove the # from the beginning of the line to uncomment it.
  • Save the file by pressing Ctrl+O, press Enter, and then exit the editor by pressing Ctrl+X.
  • Restart your computer for the changes to take effect. Wayland will now be disabled

The solution was so simple that I didn't even think of it. You have to click on “sign in” without filling in the “client ID” or “tenant ID,” then you will be redirected to log in to the browser, then accept permissions, and that's it. I've tried it out a bit, and I'm really liking this native integration that comes with Gnome :slightly_smiling_face: (Apparently Mint also has this same integration).

Did it work using Wayland?
