Was wondering if anyone ever tried this. I know from experience in windows that animated wallpaper makes your machine really work. Is the experience with this any different?

I have used it with not so great success.
Fortunately, @Storm wrote a guide on a forum that while a bit more involved in set up... Works more reliably, is very versatile and still is easy to use with less RAM.

Komorebi I have used before but it is a resource hog. Storm's tutorial is a lot lighter on resources.
