Hello! I'm trying to connect Apple Magic Keyboard to my old Mac, but output is gibberish.
Here's the example:
With regular wired keyboard:
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog
With Apple's magic keyboard:
The q45c2 br5wn f6x 140*s 6ver the 3azy d6g
Maybe I chose wrong settings for input sources?
Keyboard looks like this:
Help would be greatly appreciated!
Looks like Numeric Pad keys are beng displayed instead of alphanumeric. Is there a function key to toggle off the numeric pad on that keyboard?

Wait, I think I fixed it!
I turned off Numeric pad on my wired keyboard and now it works like normal, thank you for suggestion! It helped!
It is not the first time we have seen that here on the forum and probably not the last, usually with compact keyboards. Glad it was the simple "solution", which I have now marked. Zab

Just going to add this in case anyone else with magic keyboard runs into the same problem.
Make sure in settings your languages have Macintosh near them,
example: English (Macintosh)
And if you don't have wired keyboard that you can use to disable NumPad try pressing F6 as it turns it on/off
