Audio Button Issue

Hi, I am a new user having cut the cord with Windows and settled on Zorin 17 after using many many distros. Zorin is excellent.
However, i have an issue with the audio button on my laptop. It's a Lenovo AMD Ryzen 7-4700U APU.
When i am listening to music or watching a video i usually use the audio button on F2 & F3 to raise and lower the volume. But if i were to press the raise or lower buttons maybe a coupe of times the volume either goes to mute (if i press the lower button) or 100% if i press the raise the volume button. It does this of it's own accord.
Do you have any idea as to why this is happening?
TIA.

Just a quick update. I posted this a few minutes ago and learnt that Zorin had an alternative to Wayland (even though i have just learnt what wayland is) in the name of Xorg?

So i logged out switched to Xorg and the issue has disappeared signalling that the issue is with wayland.

Next question can i defualt to Xorg for the moment until Wayland is sorted?

Ok, after the initial working it has gone back to the original issue under xorg.

So now I'm stuck. Any ideas?

TIA
