Salve un saluto a tutto il forum , nuovo arrivato mi affaccio a linux ho installato la 18.1 sul mio secondo notebook un po datato con I5 M350 con 8GB di ram .ho un problema non mi funziona l'audio da dummy l'animazione fa vedere che funziona ma in realta ne dalle cuffie ne dagli altoparlanti ho audio. stesso problema lo avevo anche con Mint e per questo sono Passato a Zorin che vorrei continuare a usare perchè molto simile a Windows da cui provengo con un aspetto abbastanza familiare.ringrazio tutti in anticipo.

I'd recommend to try it with the older kernel 6.8. You can install that kernel on Zorin 18 and test it.

Then at boot in grub menu select "Advanced options for Zorin" and select that kernel to boot from (to show the grub menu at boot press continuosly esc or left shift key).

Are Secure Boot and Fast Boot in BIOS disabled? If Windows is still installed: Is Fast Start-Up in Windows disabled? Does Zorin run in Wayand or X11? You can check that with the Terminal Command echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE
Did You already tried it with Pulse Audio Volume Control? You can install it with the Command sudo apt install pavucontrol and when installed check the Configuration and Output Tabs for Audio Options and Profiles.

Salve intanto ringrazio tutti della collaborazione , ho fatto tutte le prove che mi avete consigliato ma l'audio non funziona ancora. aprendo le impostazioni audio sembrerebbe tutto attivo si vede anche la barra del suono che si muove quando avvio un audio pero non ho audio.mi scuso anche perchè non conosco Linux è il mio primo approccio faccio delmio meglio per capire i comandi e trovare i settaggi e le impostazioni grazie
