Hello out there..

I need some help by installing ZorinOS as primary OS for our company. Unfortunately I'm completely stuck and hope to find some help here.

The plan is that the installation must run over PXE. The LiveCD boots wonderfully and the subsequent installation also runs perfectly. I tried various parameters such as "only-ubiquity autoinstall url= ds=nocloud-net;s=" via the pxelinux.cfg , but unfortunately always without success.
There are several reasons why a PXE installation is necessary:

  • approx. 50 workstations
  • dynamic hostnames
  • pre-installation of software
  • pre-configuration of some programs
  • User/location dependent configuration

In order to avoid any misunderstandings; I just need the ability to customize an installation via preseed or user-data. The icing on the cake would of course be a much more streamlined installation option, e.g. without loading ISO, so that only the files that are needed for the installation are loaded.

Thank you

I suspect if Team Zorin manage to get the Zorin Grid into production this would solve all of your issues.

Try and follow this guide (as Zorin is based on Ubuntu):
