You received this error because on Zorin OS 17 Core, the login defaults to Wayland.

Wayland has trouble with certain apps and autokey is one of them. To resolve this, login on Zorin Desktop on X and Autokey should start without trouble.

Can you try to login under Xorg? Your screenshot shows that you are using Wayland, which is the new default for ZorinOS 17. Nothing wrong with that, but some software may behave differently.
