Boot into Recovery Mode
Drop To Prompt
sudo nano /etc/default/grub
Change GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
to
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash noapic"
Exit and save, then attempt a normal boot.
Ah, right.
