Any idea what is causing this?
I would assume that is trying to launch the default browser using an inaccurate name, or file path to the executable.
Try running this command in a terminal, right after you see this error message:
sudo tail -n 100 /var/log/syslog
Hi. How do i copy the output in command prompt? I've tried Select All and Enter, but only get part of the display in clipboard (CopyQ)

Does this explain what is causing the problem, @zenzen ?
@Tombar Which browser have you set as your default browser? It looks like it is Edge.
Edge is only available as a flatpak as far as I know. Perhaps you still need access rights to your files in order to create a backup in google drive of them.
You can manage the access rights with the "Flatseal" program. This is not installed by default, but can be found in the software store. Set Flatseal so that it grants Edge access to all user files and then see if that helps.
You could also try setting Brave or Firefox as the default browser (if these are installed as system packages) and then see if it works.
It is easier to use gnome or kde with google drive.
I've never used google drive before so I don't know exactly what could help you.
No, unfortunately it doesn't show the error per se but it does show that there was an attempt at launching Edge.
If you go into Settings -> Default Applications, is Edge listed there as the web browser? Make sure that is updated properly according to your preferences.
As a temporary work around you could use another browser you have installed and use that to finish the set up of Deja Dup, then switch it back.
Hi, Yes Edge is my default browser and manages to connect DejaDup to Google Drive on Zorin Pro on my PC - this problem is with Zorin Lite on a tablet.
I can connect to Google Drive from DejaDup on Brave on Zorin Lite, but backup then fails. I've tried 2 Internet remedies, but neither work. I think ill4give up on Zorin Lite - I don't know what else might not work.
Thanks anyway.
Did you try it, using deja-dup and a browser both as apt-packages? I think that would be the best.
Or if you use them as flatpaks, do you have installed flatseal and given deja-dup and your browser access to all users files?
You wrote in another theme about deja-dup that everything works. What have you changed?
At 26 January you wrote that you have installed deja-dup as flatpak. Do you still use this? It is also available as Zorin package (=apt Package, .deb). When it causes such problems it is recommended to use the Zorin package. Then you have less problems with permissions.
That must have been Zorin Pro on my PC.
Am trying the Zorin DejaDup with Brave. It says it cant backup 2 Darktable files, but otherwise seems OK
And does Edge work normally on the Zorin OS Lite system? What's strange is that there are a few of these entries that show that Edge is being launched multiple times, or attempted to launch anyway. And then there's this:
Apr 28 14:51:34 tom-SATELLITE-PRO-NB10t-A-11G systemd[874]: app-flatpak-com.microsoft.Edge-1562.scope: Consumed 1min 26.682s CPU time.

Which is a lot of CPU time consumed. So it must be hanging right at launch... did you check if this happens also when Edge is already running?
Hi. I've tested connecting Dejadup to Google Drive using Edge and it is now working, though I wasn't asked to connect the two together - it just happened. I don't know if this is due to previously connecting via Brave or whether Edge has just sorted itself out somehow.
Anyway, I'm not particularly enamoured by Zorin Lite - it seems to take forever to download the software catalogue and I can't find how to choose to put apps on the desktop or "Task bar" - I obviously did at one time, but my mind has gone blank. Also DejaDup refuses to launch if I click repeatedly on its icon...
You can enter an app in the Start menu in the search field and then, when it appears above, right-click on it and add it to the panel or desktop.
Notice: The icon is added to the far right of the panel and can then be moved to any position on the panel by clicking the right mouse button.
You can also use the package installer synaptic (installation with "sudo apt install synaptic"), which is significantly faster, but can only install apt packages and not flatpaks or snaps. It also requires a little more familiarization and contains neither reviews nor screenshots.
