Baldur's Gate play screen

Hi there! I don't see anything online that helps me (unless I've missed it), but here goes:

I've installed Baldur's Gate (the 1998 original (from GoG), EE has some edits that us puritans really don't like) via Heroic. When started, it makes a 640x480 block screen in the top left corner. Even when double clicked to expand, the main scree goes black but the game screen stays up left. This was the same on Windoze and Gog Galaxy, however that was years ago and I can't remember exactly what I did.

Can I:

  1. -get the game screen in the central screen area?
  2. -get the game screen full screen? If there's an edit to be done, to lower the system resolution during play and restore it to 1920x1080 afterwards, I'm game for it.
  3. -install mods like BGT?

Thank you!

[Edit: I nearly forgot to add, I do not have the compie I had when I asked about Battle.net a year or two ago, this compie is just an Acer Aspire1 with 12GB RAM).

Is Heroic installed as Flatpak? If yes, I would sugest to try the .deb Version:

I think I'll try it... some day.

I am kind-of reluctant, to have to reinstall nearly 15GB again. But afaik, my Heroic is on 2.20.1. I will see if I can find an HD/ Widescreen mod for BG, iirc that was what I used previously to "centre" the view.

This is why I upgraded my computer with another 2TB months back, so stuff like 15GB means absolutely nothing. Unfortunately, SSD costs have gone through the roof now, due to this AI bubble were in.

I installed the .deb via Gdebi. It launches, but doesn't log in. Now re-installing the flatpack. And keeping Endless Sky on Steam.

Did you know the Steam Linux version, is the Windows version WINE'd for Linux? I was flabbergasted when I saw this:

I would've loved to, but the Acer Aspire1 has an onboard soldered 125GB SSD chip and no expansion slot, except for USB & external drives.

I hate to have to choose between paying the rent, the groceries and/or the storage....

Rent and groceries is most important. Just save a little each month till you can afford it. For the record, it used to be a little cheaper, but the stupid AI bubble raises memory prices.
