This is my first topic on the forum about this, I have an Ideapad slim 3 with a 2 in one network adapter with the model number and make: "Realtek RTL8852BE". Whenever I try to turn on Bluetooth to utilise my Bluetooth peripherals, it keeps graying out the button and flat out refusing to work. I have a patchwork fix, but that only works once and I have to restart my laptop to perform it again. Is there any drivers on release for zorin os 18 pro for network and communication adapters?
Welcome to the Forum!
- Are Secure Boot and Fast Boot in BIOS disabled?
- If Windows is still installed: Is Fast Start-Up in Windows disabled?
- Does Your System run in Wayland or X11? You can check that with
echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPEand when it runs in Wayland, I would suggest to try it with switching to X11/Xorg. To do that go to the Login Screen. Click there on Your Profile so that the Password Field appears. When it is appeared, You should see a Gear Icon in the bottom right Corner. Click on it and choose the Option ''Zorin Desktop on Xorg'' and then log in. - Could You post the Output of the Terminal Commands
sudo lshw -C multimediaandrfkill listplease? - Did you take a Look in the ''Additional Drivers'' Tab in Software & Updates if there is a Driver offered?
- Open /etc/bluetooth/main.conf and check if
AutoEnableis set totrue(should be in the 3. Textblock from the bottom):
- Check in Your BIOS if there are maybe Bluetooth Options and if they are disabled

What is your fix?
Well, I had to reconnect my USB dongle every reboot, but solved it by a ultra-simple trick: delay the bluetooth service start by 5 secs.
To do it, just edit settings:
sudo systemctl edit bluetooth.service
Look for [Service] section and add this line:
[Service]
ExecStartPre=/bin/sleep 5
CTRL+O to save, Enter, CTRL+X to exit.
Then reload to apply new settings:
sudo systemctl daemon-reload
I found it on Reddit. Maybe it could be added to Zorin default settings, because there isn´t any issue delaying bluetooth service from start, and it does fix issues.
