using broad com bcm43142A0 i am unable to turn on Bluetooth.
I had check that Bluetooth service is running and is detected my Linux
Can anyone recommend me any other possible fixes?
Did you take a look at Software&Updates > Additional drivers if there is offered a Bluetooth driver?
Are secure boot and fast boot turned off in your BIOS and if you have a Dualboot with Windows is fast startup in the energy settings of Windows disabled?
What is the output of
rfkill list
?
Also, please check that you have the kernel module:
ls /lib/firmware/brcm | grep 43142
secure boot is off but fast boot i don't find that option in my bios. I don't have any dual-boot just zorin os. But just and update I got it to work by entering some code and install a package driver in the software center and it somehow worked.
How do I check what package I install and when apart from the software app?
If it was not flatpak or snap then ...
"To find the installation log of applications in Ubuntu 24.04, you can examine the APT history logs located in /var/log/apt/ ."
(Zorin 18 is a fork of Ubuntu 24.04)
ah ok ic I believe is this package here that I installed to make it worked
broadcom-bt-firmware:amd64 (12.0.1.1105)
Well if it is working, guess you are sorted?
yup I good now thanks
