Bluetooth not working MacBook Pro

Background: MacBook Pro pre 2015 just installed Zorin 17 Pro.
This is a fresh install. I had it working but as soon as I rebooted it went away again. The funny thing is that after it comes online the spinny thing interrupts the wifi.

Welcome to the Forum!

So, you can connect it but after a Reboot it is disconnected, yes? And can You then reconnect it?

Did you take a Look in the ''Additional Drivers'' Tab ind Software & Updates if there is a Driver offered?

When You go to /etc/bluetooth/main.conf and scroll all the Way to the End, there should stand AutoEnable= Is it set to true or false?

On reboot initially it is disconnected, but after reconnect is when I have the issue of it hitting the network and causing problems with the wifi.

The only additional driver that is listed is the steam-devices

in main.conf AutoEnable=true

Hmm ... maybe it is a Power Save Thing. Open the Terminal and type:

sudo nano /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/default-wifi-powersafe-on.conf

In the opening Window You should see this:
wifi.powersave = 3

Change the 3 to a 2 and then press ctrl+o to save the Change, Enter to confirm and ctrl+x to exit. Then make a Reboot.

So here is an update. So I reinstalled the drivers after trying the above fix which disabled the bluetooth altogether. I thought I had it working. In fact I went to the pulse audio section and checked the audio profile for the bluetooth device and ran the internal test which I got the playback through the headphones but still no playback from the applications. So I had the bluetooth working right out of the box with Elementary OS so I don't understand why this Ubuntu based version is giving me so much trouble. Heck even Fedora worked right out of the box.

When it worked for you with these distributions, you could install a newer kernel in Zorin to see if it is better.
