Bluetooth speaker not working

Hello,
I am new to Zorin and my 1 week of user experience has been good so far.
But a little hick-up I am unable to use my bluetooth speaker (Micropack Ms220B); the speaker is discoverable and also able to connect the device via bluetooth and also in the sound setting output option it's selected but I am getting no output.
I have looked into few solutions online using other bluetooth manager but I have got no luck.
I have observed one thing that when I switch the output to the laptop speaker and then again back to the bluetooth speaker for a milli-second I am able to hear the output.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the forum

I think our Alsamixer specialist volunteer @zabadabadoo might be able to help you.

I am not sure if we will get success trying to diagnose bluetooth speaker problem with alsamixer but here goes:

Open terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and then enter alsamixer

Use [F6] to check correct sound card is selected.

Look at your Output channels and see if any Muted, i.e. shown as MM.
Unmute all Output channels and set level to max and test.
Also check Automute is Disabled.

You should be able to use the Zorin>Settings>Sound>Speaker Test to check left and right speakers and hear a "Front Left", "Front Right" in reply.

If none of that helps, post a screenshot of All your alsamixer channels here to help us see what settings you have.

If you find a alsamixer setting that works, you can store it using:

sudo alsactl store

I should inform you, from experience sound is not always straightforward on Linux, so sometimes you have to experiment.

I have tried your suggestion but no luck.
As requested attaching the screen shot.

Have you ever check this page?

Also sharing the output of lshw; for bluetooth adapter and also the sound card.

I have no problem connecting the bluetooth speaker; it;s showing the bluetooth menu and even gets connected automatically after powering the speaker on. But getting no output.
Even I tried making tweaks in Setting>>>Sounds>>>Output, but no luck here as well.

Curiously your speaker is shown as a Headset in the screen shot.
You do not have any other options in the drop-down I suppose.

Try to delete the speakers (bluetooth product) and then reboot and connect . If it sees them again and see if they work

Edit: also if you have used them on another device they won't be work as they are set to other device. press and hold the Bluetooth button and the power button simultaneously for more than three seconds to reset the speaker to factory settings. Or disconnect from other device manually

When I was dual-booting Windows and Linux, I had to dissociate my Bluetooth peripherals each time I switch the OS.
I finally decided to purchase another set of peripherals so that I do not have to do this each time I switch the OS.

I get 2 options.
One for the laptop speaker which after I change the output works fine and the other option is as the screen-shot speaker showing as headset.

I have done this several times but not working. It works fine with my android phone; and when I am trying to connect it with the Zorin running device, I make sure all others are off.

The first answer.
Use pavuctl.

I'm stumped, unless it's a linux thing with your device compatible. Don't mention it to the band as I'm the sound go to guy.

@hrishi
Open Pulseaudio volume controller.
Go to the output playback tab.
When you click on the particular player, you will see the options of different output.
This is how mine looks like.

You should be able to select your blue tooth speaker from this list.

This my output from pulseaudio controller.

when I am inter changing between the 2 output for a fraction of milli-sec the speaker give an output of what I am playing.

Click on the "Playback" tab and take a screenshot.
I said "output tab" but it was a mistake.

In alsamixer try Unmuting "Headphone" channel.
