Boot Issue After Deleting bootfs

Hi

I accidentally deleted my bootfs during a project, and now Zorin OS won't boot. Reinstalling or restoring from a backup would be the easiest fix, but I don't have a backup. I'm trying to fix it manually by rebuilding the bootfs.

I still have initrd and vmlinuz in /boot, and GRUB starts up, but then it drops to an initramfs shell. I've tried rebuilding initramfs and extracting files from a Zorin OS ISO, but no luck.

Has anyone encountered this or know how to fix it?

Welcome to the Forum!

When You have Zorin on a bootable USB Stick, You can try it with starting it and choose the ''Try Zorin'' Mode. In the Try Mode start a Tool called ''Boot Repair'' and let it run.
