Bootloader not installing on USB

Installing Zorin OS

Installed zorin core on a USB, then tried to install Zorin on another USB from the original.

Bootloader could not install, then the system froze…it gave me three options….to continue without installing bootloader,choose a different device to install the bootloader on…or to cancel.

None of which worked.

Was the USB Formatted prior or does the USB contain an EFI partition?

Ok...I think I put the bootloader from my desktop on the USB.

Had to do some grub fixes....back in the game.
