Brave browser icon lost

In my Zorin 17 Lite Virtual machine the brave-browser icon got lost in XFCE session, but not in Gnome. It should be a lion, and in start menu and menu libre it is shown correctly as a lion, but not in the taskbar. When I right-click on the icon and select edit launcher, there is also shown the lion icon as icon.
I use clay icon theme in both desktops. How to get the original lion icon back?

Maybe I'm wrong but this could be the Icon from the Picture Viewer. Did You take a Look in the Folder of the Icon Set if there is a Brave Browser Icon in it? I mean there seem to be one, yes. But double-check it.

Yes, the icon is still there in the icon theme. It was always shown and disappeared yesterday after updates.

Maybe check the .desktop File if there has something changed - especially the Icon= Line.

I had looked at this file, but didn't see anything unusual. It was something with brave in the name which is represented in the icon theme. I can't figure it out. Maybe it will suddenly start working again someday?

Is the Line Icon=brave-browser?

I've shutdown my VM, but I think, yes, that was the line.

xfce isn't my Desktop. Does it have such a ''Main Menu'' Tool like in Zorin Gnome where You can set up Startmenu Entries? If yes, I would suggest to go there and change the Icon manually.

Yes, I looked there. Everything is fine. There is shown the lion for brave browser. Only in the taskbar of XFCE it is not shown.

I'm really annoyed right now because my laptop, running the VM, showed that there's only 1 GB of free space left on the 160 GB C: drive with Windows and the Zorin VM. This has happened before some months ago. I don't understand what keeps cluttering up my Windows. Now I had to delete old system files again. Luckily, there's 71 GB of free space available again. The culprit appears to be Windows Updates saving old files.

And when You unpin Brave and then add it again?

I had already tried that, but unfortunately it didn't work. I also placed brave-browser launcher outside the docklike plugin to see if the problem was with the plugin, but that wasn't the case.
Then I tried with
gtk-update-icon-cache /path/to/icon-theme/directory/
but still not solved.
