Brave Browser Removal

When ever I do a complete app update using the terminal ..... sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade ..... I get this response from the terminal .....

Get:1 https://brave-browser-apt-release.s3.brave.com stable InRelease [7,547 B]
Err:1 https://brave-browser-apt-release.s3.brave.com stable InRelease
The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY A8580BDC82D3DC6C

And at the end I get this ......

All packages are up to date.
W: An error occurred during the signature verification. The repository is not updated and the previous index files will be used. GPG error: https://brave-browser-apt-release.s3.brave.com stable InRelease: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY A8580BDC82D3DC6C
W: Failed to fetch https://brave-browser-apt-release.s3.brave.com/dists/stable/InRelease The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY A8580BDC82D3DC6C
W: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

I tried to uninstall Brave using Synaptic and it says it is removed but the irritating message keeps coming up when ever I do the update upgrade command ..... how to fix .....

I went to Software & Update and can find nothing with Brave in it using the Other Software category ......

Elevate to Root

sudo -i

Launch your file manager (in your case, it would be Nemo. Others would use Nautilus for Core and Thunar for Lite)

nemo

Look in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ folder for a file marked for Brave browser. There will probably be two files. You need to remove them.
