I noticed two design issues with Brave, and I wonder if these are bugs in Brave, or design/theme issues caused by Zorin 18?
When you shift-click to selected multiple tabs, there is no visible selection state. They do get selected - if you shift-click to select a few tabs and then press CTRL+W, it does close them all. There is just not visible selection.
Private mode looks really broken. It's a weird mix of the dark purple theme that Brave normally uses, but with backgrounds in bright gray - it looks awful. For some reason, selected tabs are highlighted in private mode, but only barely, it's almost too subtle to make out.
Are these general issues with Brave on Linux or does the Zorin shell theme mess things up somehow?
Hmm ... I'm no longer on Windows. So, I can't take a Look at this. But in the Past, I had this purple Desgin there. I guess it was a Sign that it runs in Private Mode.
I played a bit with Vivaldi a couple Days ago and there I was able to set a different Design for the Private Mode. So, when it should annoy You too much, maybe take a Look at Vivaldi?
Yes, the purple design in private mode is not a bug - but on Zorin, I'm seeing a weird mix of purple and bright gray. And the tab highlight color is identical to other tabs. So both regular and private mode themes are messed up somehow.
I've just tested this on Z18 and I can also see that behavior: selecting multiple tabs doesn't actually highlight them all (only the currently visible one). And I think we can confirm this is an issue with the Zorin OS theme by going into the browser settings, appearance and selecting the "Classic" theme. That makes the highlighting issue go away; can you try this as well?
But I have no issues in private windows, all tabs are highlighted as expected, and I'm not seeing any strange mix of colors. Is this something that happens on certain websites, maybe?
