I am struggling to get my Logitech C270 webcam to work on Zorin OS 18 (the webcam's microphone works just fine, BTW). I have a Lenovo ThinkCentre M710q. The Camera app just gives me a white screen; so does Zoom.
lsusb confirms the device is present, and ls -ltrh /dv/video* shows both /dev/video1 and /dev/video0 exist. The Logitech web cam is the only camera connected to the PC. I installed ubuntu-restricted-extras when I installed Zorin.
sudo lshw -C video tells me:

Although it always seemed to take a few seconds to be recognized, the webcam (and microphone) worked fine in Ubuntu and Windows. It's been awhile since I ran Zorin OS 17, but I believe it worked fine there, too.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Thank you, everyone!
UPDATE: I continued trying to figure out what was going on and, after a few hours, plugged the web cam into another computer. I found the same issues, even on another machine running a different OS (microphone worked, etc.). ... I've now bought a new web came ![]()
Thank you again for your replies.
