Can I create USB persistence with Rufus?

Hello, I used Rufus to try to create a Zorin ISO with persistent storage on a bootable USB drive. It didn't work. This was with an older version of Zorin. Has this issue been fixed with the current version of Zorin? Thank you.

I believe Ventoy is the only tool that will now allow you to set up persistence.

You should be able to do that. When you have chosen the ISO it should look like this:

Just be aware that creating a USB memory stick with Persistence will shorten the life of the memory stick due to continuous rewrites. I think a better solution is:

  1. Create a live image of your chosen .iso on Ventoy

  2. Have a second USB stick formatted to FAT32 for your data.
