Cannot reinstall Zorin

My machine is a Clevo NJ75AU from Laptop with Linux found on the Zorin Web site. Zorin 18 Pro installed with no issues a month ago and all was working well. Recently my system would hang once in a while and be totally unresponsive requiring a hard shut down and restart. Unknown what caused this. I decided to do a Timeshift. Timeshift started and then it hung, just stopped. I waited almost an hour hoping it would restart. Finally I did a hard shutdown. Upon reboot I got a message Error file:\boot/vmlive-617.0 -20 generic not found. Error you may need to load the kernal first. I could not get it to do anything else. I finally decided to do a clean install of Zorin Pro I used a usb that installed Zorin on this computer in the first place and also installed on my desktop and another laptop. After the install was completed it told me to reboot, then remove the installation usb and press enter. I got the same error as before. I am stuck and do not know what to do now. Help please.

  1. Boot from your Zorin 18 Live USB.
  2. Open Terminal.
  3. Type boot-repair (Zorin usually has this built-in, or you can find it in the Zorin Menu under System Tools).
  4. Run the Recommended Repair. it will scan your restored files and rebuild the boot menu from scratch.
