Thanks I was not aware of the command. What would you recommend me now? Should I roll back the upgrade and execute the correct command to upgrade the zorin os lite ?
This is up to you, really.
Accidentally, you are giving yourself a taste of Core. Core uses a bit more resources, but it may be fine on your machine.
It looks and operates slightly differently - you may dislike it or prefer it.
I prefer Zorin OS Lite. For many reasons.
You can switch to the lite Desktop using the gear icon on your Login Screen to get back to Lite and you can run
sudo apt install --reinstall zorin-os-lite-desktop
to repair it if it still needs to be done.
You can remove the Core desktop with
sudo apt remove --purge zorin-os-desktop && sudo apt install --reinstall lightdm
