Tried Canon website, no drivers for ubuntu 22.04 found.
OR:
HP Scanjet G3010 (also, no joy).
The G3010 is about 20 years old and still works!
My PC is a "parallel universe": M.2 NVMe slot 2 (win10pro64)
M.2 NVMe slot 1 (Zorin OS 17 LTS)... the default boot drive,
use "F12" should win10 be needed (i.e. firmware updates, etc.)
Making every effort possible to wean myself off micro s. (after 50 years of micro s., this brain ain't so "elastic" as once before... yes, it all started with GW BASIC)
thanks,
john
Firstly, no guarantees, install Synaptic Package Manager from Software. Launch Synaptic (you will be asked for your login password to elevate you to 'root') and search for 'skanlite'. I recommend this based on my recent experience with other OS as it is the first app that works with our Canon LiDE 500F which has never worked under GNU/Linux until now. The only other option you have is a commercial product I own, is VueScan from here:
Lastly, does the Canon website offer ScangearMP package? If not VueScan might be your best option and it certainly has a better interface than Canon's ScangearMP.
I own the Pro version, it is brilliant and multipage scans donct require the preview to be run once first page has been scanned.
