Anyone else have trouble login to Steam? I just got the update, then I couldn't login anymore, getting error:e20.
And it seems the Steam forum is down as well....
Oh well - I'm going to bed, it's almost 1 at night. Hopeful Steam will fix it when I wake up
Steam has been giving me all kinds of fits here lately especially after their latest major update several days ago ...... I have received smaller updates since and each one has given me new problems .....
Latest one is I go through almost loading my game and right before the it finishes I get a message that my internet disconnected and I have to press any key to restart the download again and the game will play ..... my internet never changed and did not disconnect .....
Maybe it will clear up in the next update .....
Seems to work now.
I updated Steam about 1am last night, downloaded a large file it did stop a few times, but we got there in the end? seems ok this morning.
The last couple of days, Steam has seemed very unreliable and unstable, to me. It suddenly crashes out, too.
Now, when I launch anything, it also launches the full Steam Window and a Popup advertisement along with it.
What I love about Linux is the ability to roll back software if the latest update breaks things. Not so with Steam. Steam is doing what many do: You have no choice in whether it upgrades itself, and once it does, you have no option to roll it back to a stable version.
You are just stuck with it until the next update to address the bugs.
To me it seems the updates after the major one have definitively made it worse for me especially the crashing part ....
And yea they are now pushing their games on the opening of the site .... it used to just open to my home page and allow me to chose a game of mine to load ..... now I have to chose Home in the drop down menu ...... then games ..... and finally which game I want all the time being presented with games I don't want ..... a big PITA ....
