I like the default icon theme of zorin lite, but I hate the icon of executable app
, I want only to change it, I have seen topic here in zorin fourm talking about that and there r solution for it , but it is for blender file , and I'm confused about applying that on executable app,what I can do to apply that for executable type?
Thanks Aravisian, I was able to fix do it!
This is a full guide of how I did it:
I downloaded an .svg icon
Change the icon's name to the mimetype of the file (right click > properties > type), in my case 'application-x-blender.svg'
Move the icon to the correct folder:
$ sudo mv '/home/hanne/Downloads/blender file icons/application-x-blender.svg' '/usr/share/icons/Zorin/scalable/mimetypes/'
If the folder does not yet exist, you may create it.
Update icon caches:
$ sudo update-icon-caches /u…

That would be an icon in the mimetypes
directory in the icon set:
application-x-executable

but that only change icon of that type in desktop and in file manger, but it does not change it in the panel
Check the size 16x16 and 24x24 sized Mimetypes.
