I have a 2 year old flash drive that I've always had trouble with. I suspect it might have bad sectors on it. How do I check for that?
Hi emerald - I regularly get problems with USB flash drives, but that's probably because I'm swapping them back and forth between Linux and Windows machines! I'm always able to get them working again though by deleting/recreating the drive's partition with Gnome Disks, GParted or - under Windows - Minitool Partition Wizard (free edition)... one or another usually does the trick If you have important files on the drive though you'll need to copy them elsewhere first...
