Choose What Optional Packages Are Installed

Honestly, switching over to the "minimal" install for the Pro version was one of the best things I did re: Zorin. It made a world of difference. Suggest you do this going forward, and when the installation is finished, everything will be less cluttered with regards to applications. Zorin will be then more of a "blank slate" that you can add applications to that are to your liking (and provide a cleaner experience). One other thing you might want to do is switch up menu layouts. That does help (depending on the layout you choose). I use the Windows 11 layout (with a couple of tweaks on my end via Taskbar Settings). Helps me navigate to the applications I need all at once (without having to go through submenus). Hope this input helps.

Maybe something similar to what CachyOs and Endeavour do?
Post install. There is a welcome window. Within which there is an option to pick what extra packages/apps you want.
Would be easy to ignore if you want the bare bones and easy to click the button if you want to pick'n'mix extra apps?
