Clone sata ssd to nvme ssd

Hi! As mentioned in another topic, I have built a new system and migrated my previous Linux insulation into the new system seamlessly. I didn't even have to do anything. However, as I continue to put my build together, adding the finishing touches, which include new SSDs, I would like to clone my existing root and home drives to my new NVMe SSD. I would like the cloned drive to include all the partitioning and everything if possible as they are both 500 gigabyte drives.
I believe on my current SSD I have a quarter of the drive for my root partition and the other three quarters I have set up as my home partition.
Is there a ridiculously quick and easy way to accomplish this or do I have some work to do and if so, where do I start? I've done some reading on the interwebs but nobody mentions multiple partitions. All of the instructional's that I have come across are just about cloning a single drive (partition), whereas I need my boot information and both partitions all done at once if I can.
Ideally, once I've completed the process I would like to be able to remove the one drive and the computer boots to the new one without missing a beat.

Is this possible? Is it easy? What do I do? :joy:

Thanks,

Tes

From my recollection, the last time I had to do something like this, I decided to use Clonezilla. I believe it had done everything you were talking about, but maybe there's something more specific it doesn't cover (although it should cover basically anything)

It's possible to clone a drive, but it's not fast (especially if one of them is not an SSD), you are probably going to take less time installing normally. Although it can't hurt to have a backup drive anyway.

For cloning, I recommend Rescuezilla.

Do I understand that right? You have one existing Drive with the root Partition and another existing Drive with the home Partition. And now You want unify these 2 to one NVMe Drive. Is that correct?

You can use Gnome Disks to clone your whole SDD or one of your partitions.

No. 2 partions, 1 drive. Cloning same 2 partitions to a new drive, where it will again be 2 partitions, 1 drive

Okay, Sorry for the Missunderstanding. When You clone the Driver it should work like the Original. As far as I know it takes all the Partitions like they are.

Thank you all for your help! Sounds like any one of these should work. I'll take a look at Gnome Disks since I already have it. If I have difficulties, I'll check Clonezilla and the other one.

I love this community! Thank you
