That could be the Accessability Mode. Does it look similar to this:
Yes. That is it. And it is on the right side of the taskbar, not the left as I stated incorrectly.
You can turn this Icon off if You want. To do that, go to Settings>Accessability and there You see on the right side dirctly at the Top a Toggle to turn off the Indicator:
