I was having issues with the package manager and having to fix broken stuff in Synaptic and after a restart I am suddenly booting in Ubuntu instead of Zorin 18.1 Pro. I'm not sure what I did or how to fix it. I have been having issues with downloading software packages and orphaned inode counts needing to be addressed in BusyBox using fsck /dev/sda2 stuff. It's been frustrating, but I'm at the limits of my Linux noob troubleshooting. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Can I download a new version of 18.1 Pro and reinstall without overwriting all my personal files and programs?

Im confussed you have Ubuntu installed as well? and when you try to boot into zorin are you getting an error screen or a grub screen?
You can try this:
sudo apt install --reinstall zorin-os-desktop
reboot

Hmm ... that sounds for me that You might have installed the ubuntu-desktop Package. When You are on the Login Screen click there on Your Profile so that the Password Field appears. When it is appeared, You should see in the bottom right Corner a Gear Icon. Click on it and check what Opions are there. If possible make a Picture of it and post it here please.
Update: I ended up copying my important files and reinstalled Zorin 18.1 Pro. It is running fine now.
