Control C + V doesn't work

Using the new Zorin 18.1....Control C + V doesn't work :((((

  1. How do I fix this?
  2. Why is this not set up by default (this is the sort of thing that puts off potential new linux users)?

Thanks!

Where does it not work? In terminal? There you need ctrl+shift+v or ctrl+shift+c.

Hello and welcome,
It is setup by default, and like @Forpli said it doesn't work on terminal...
So if it doesn't work elsewhere you may have a conflict.
Go n terminal and give us the output of

echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE

Currently, it doesn't work in any app I've tried it on.

Hi Nourpon, thanks

The output I get is:

wayland

Try to switch to Xorg:

  • Logout
  • At the login screen, click your username (don't enter password)
  • Click the gear icon in the bottom right
  • Select "Zorin Desktop on Xorg"

an see if it work
