Couple of questions

Hi all. Hope everyone is ready for the weekend! I have a couple of questions that I think I know the answers two but want to verify.

  1. Is it possible to go ahead and update to the latest Gnome or will doing so break the themes and extensions from Zorin?

  2. In the App Store, almost everything gaming related is a flatpak. Is it possible to install things like Steam, Vkbasalt, MangoHud/Goverlay, etc from just doing a standard apt install?

In short: No. A newer Gnome Base will come with Zorin 18.

Yes, the one's named from You are available on Zorin 17:

Steam:

sudo apt install steam

Vkbasalt:

sudo apt install vkbasalt

Goverlay:

sudo apt install goverlay

MangoHud:

sudo apt install mangohud

Should come this Year; maybe 3rd Quarter - but that is not a fix Date. It would fit to the Support End of Windows 10.
