Dash to dock not starting on login

Hi all
I have a fresh install of core 17.2 and I am having issues with the dash to dock gnome extension. When I login despite it showing as enabled in the extension manager the dock does not show. If I disable it and then enable it the dock appears. I'd prefer to to not have to manually start it each time I login.
I had a nosey at previous posts and found a post that suggested adding it to start up applications which I have tried, here's what I added to startup: gnome-extensions enable dash-to-dock@micxgx.gmail.com

This also has not helped. Am I missing something obvious? Also other gnome extensions load correctly at login.

Cheers.

I think it's conflicting with Zorin OS version of dash to dock. You need to disable that first.

Hi Storm
Thanks for this. Do you know what this extension is called? I can't see a likely candidate in the extension manager.

I was happily using xorg and plank until the latest kernel updates and I started getting really bad screen tearing and thought moving to wayland and the gnome extensions for my dock was the path of least resistance. Maybe this serves me right for being lazy!

Sorry I can't be more helpful as I'm using Pop!_OS with Cosmic DE, so I can't check the extension manager. Maybe someone else can chime in to assist with that.

It's called Zorin Taskbar, you will find it in the "Installed" tab, near the bottom of the list.

Maybe it is a Conflict with Plank. Plank doesn't work on Wayland as far as I know. MYou could try to uninstall Plank and then use Dash To Dock; that works with Wayland and Xorg.

Thanks! I had moved that to the top as I like some bits at the top and some at the bottom in a dock. Guess I'll have to have a play around with it to get something that will work for me moving forward.

It's a fresh install and I hadn't reinstalled plank so that rules out a conflict. I will see if I can get close to what I'd had in the past with either dash to dock or dash to panel. I'm a creature of habit I guess..

Fresh install, okay. When You turn off the Zorin Taskbar like @zenzen showed, You will have the Standard Gnome Top Bar and then You should be able to use Dash To Dock at the Bottom without Issues.

If You want customize the Top Bar there would be the Gnome Extension Open Bar. If You want Icon's from Program in the Top Bar there would be App Icons Taskbar.
