Date Not Showing

I have been having this strange issue where the date doesn't show on my taskbar, just the time. All of my settings say that it's displayed but that doesn't change the fact that it doesn't show up anyway. This is even true on another of my computers. This happened inbetween updates so i have 0 clue what caused this to happen or how to fix it. No settings were changed when this occured, just booted up one day and this happened. Showing Weekdays doesn't work either, but seconds do. Is this a more widespread bug? Could this be a system specific glitch that, however improbably, happened twice in my household?

Looking at your screenshot I noticed your panel is vertical and on the right. Have you tried increasing the width (actually height) of the panel?

It seems that it doesn't like it that there's not enough room to display the date, and it just hides it entirely. Increasing the size works — 52px is the magic number — but it would be more appropriate to break it down into two lines for the month and day.

Even switching the taskbar position to the bottom and then back to one of the sides only works temporarily. When the date is updated again (when the next minute changes), the date disappears.

Maybe this should go into the Feedback category.
