Hi everyone,
I am having trouble running DaVinci Resolve 20.3.1 on Zorin OS 18 Core. The application closes with a Segmentation Fault right after the initial setup screen.
My hardware includes an AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT (16GB VRAM) and Zorin OS.
When using the default open-source drivers (Mesa), the program actually starts and shows the initial configuration screen. However, on the second screen, when the main application should open, it fails and shows an error message saying it cannot detect the GPU (No OpenCL/GPU found).
When I try to install the official AMD Pro drivers (amdgpu-pro) to fix the OpenCL issue, the situation gets worse: the program does not even show the first screen anymore and crashes immediately with a Segmentation Fault (core dumped) in the terminal.
I have already tried the following steps:
- Installed via official .run installer and MakeResolveDeb script.
- Attempted to install amdgpu-pro drivers.
- Installed rocm-opencl-runtime for OpenCL support.
- Tried running on both Wayland and X11/Xorg sessions.
Has anyone managed to get the RX 9000 series working with Resolve on Linux? Any advice would be appreciated.
I followed several tutorials, links below:
