Different DNS settings for different users

Is it possible to set DNS settings for different accounts on Zorin individually?
Would be nice for our family PC...

I would think, You would have set this up individually in the actual Account itself.

Take a look at this, it's pretty clear and easy to use

That seems interesting, but is probably to much for me.
Especially when it come to troubleshooting then with updates etc..
But thanks anyway, I thought in Linux there could be a way! :upside_down_face:

It will not change with updates, you are not under Windows...
Troubleshooting?! editing a file ?

OpenDNS is your best option at the router level.

But with your router you can't manage different DNS by user

Maybe but you can block access to genres of websites and individual websites.

Perhaps looking at a better router is another option:

"... 2. Router-Level Parental Controls: Many modern routers (e.g., Netgear Nighthawk with Circle, Eero , Google Nest Wifi ) have built-in parental control features that sit on top of DNS. These allow you to group devices (e.g., "Kids' Tablets") and apply specific schedules or app/category blocks to those groups while leaving other devices unrestricted.”

I understand what you want to say but blocking site and changing DNS is completely another thing... we talk about route here... try a search result with google DNS and the same search with the same browser and the same search engine but with Quad9 DNS, you will not have the same result
