Display of open windows superimposed on the status bar

Good morning. after wanting to change the style of the desktop and return to the standard desktop I have the display of open windows superimposed on the status bar. how to avoid this superposition and ensure that the two are one above the other or on the same bar but offset (as is the case on Windows)? Thanks a lot.

Welcome to the Forum!

Did you tried it with a Reboot?

Thank you
Several times....without effect.
Even by changing the style of the desk (the 4 offered as standard)... no better

Do you happen to have XFCE (or another desktop environment) installed alongside your current desktop environment? Because that looks like an xfce panel a bit (albeit kind of hard to tell).

If you change to another layout (such as a Mac style layout) does that bottom panel still stay there? If it does, what happens when you right click it? (The one that shouldn't be there?)

Tested :
Windows-like
Touch
Windows List-like
GNOME Shell-like

Same result. :disappointed_relieved:
It's not Zorin Pro ! And not install another desktop environment

Ok but on those other appearance layouts, does this same issue show up? If so, could you take a screenshot and show us?

Okay, maybe the Extensions have a Problem. Do You have more that one Taskbar installed? If yes, check if You have enabled all of them.

If not: Install the Extension Manager (You can find that in Gnome Software, it is the One with the blue Puzzle Piece), open it and disable the Zorin Taskbar. Then make a Reboot and activate it again.

Thank you for extension manager. One option activated : "Window List".
once deactivated : Just the taskbar.
So, how to see all the opened windows ?

After reboot and reactivation as indicated: same result.
therefore forced to move the status bar to the top of the screen and the open windows bar which remains at the bottom. Whatever the theme among the four proposed.

Are You open for Gnome Extensions? If Yes, I would try something. In the Extension Manager disable the Zorin Taskbar. Then go to the ''Browse'' Tab and search for Dash To Panel (that is a Taskbar) and install it. When it is installed, look how it behaves. I mean, if it is shown correct.

That will suit me. If both bars are at the bottom there is still an overlap. so I'm going to keep dash to panel at the top and hide the window list at the bottom. In any case, open applications are indicated by a black line at the bottom of the icon in the status bar. thank you again.
