When i shutdown my machine i get a text message on the upper left corner, almost not readable because it's shutting down very fast. I made a video of it and watched the error code. Can someone tells me what this error might be related to (network controller ? / never use it by the way). A few days ago i got a kernel update and since then it's popping up after every reboot/shutdown. This is on the Acer Predator G9-793-71SJ machine.
No idea based just on this... are you experiencing any problems other than this message?
I found something that may or may not be related using the error message, possibly worth looking into it:
I am not daily using that notebook but so far i did not encounter any issue. I tried to find info on it about google. Found that site and some others as well, but all have different issues. Thought i would give it a shot here on the forum.
Thanks for your reply.
Edit: might try to add the intel_iommu=on or off parameter in the systemd-boot
Are you sure this happened after the kernel update? It might be worth looking into issues related to the kernel version, then. I've noticed a few threads popping up right after this kernel.
Yes i am sure, but i am on Pop! OS 22.04. They released the same kernel version but a revised one.
I changed the boot parameter intel_iommu=off
in the systemd-boot and now the error is gone after rebooting or shutting it down. I also noticed intel(r) virtualization technology for directed i/o is also not listed anymore (don't use it anyway).
The error messages does not pop-up anymore in the logs, for now i mark this as solved.
