As it says in the screenshot, its a web browser for techies, people who love to tinker, customize all aspects of the browser. It says it comes with encryption, I believe to be safe, especially because its in the software store.
Keep in mind as well, open source software is easily viewable by programmers, who can view the code. If there were anything odd about it, people would know.
