Do Zorin Core OS & Zorin Pro OS have military grade encryption?
"Military-grade encryption" is a marketing gimmick.
The very browser that you're using right now to connect to this site uses "military-grade encryption". Every time you send a message through WhatsApp, you're using military grade encryption...
Please be specific, what are you interested in?
But Whats App creams your data:
It's also been associated with unregulated self-harm content.
I don't think @Zenzen was endorsing WhatsApp so much as pointing out the uselessness of the term "military grade encryption."
I also wonder if the query concerns the fact that is based off Ubuntu. Ubuntu claims it's high security status and in the past points to its deployment in Police Forces around the world.
As pointed out above, we're talking about what "military-grade encryption" means and what does Zorin OS offer in terms of encrypting data, not what WhatsApp does.
Maybe it relates to a specific kind of Encryption Technology because the PC/Laptop is/will used in a military Environment?
But even then of course it would be neccessary to know what kind of Encryption is needed.
Then it needs to be defined what they mean by military-grade encryption. In the context of cryptography, it means using AES block cipher which is the common standard used everywhere. So much so, that Intel added a new instruction set to handle this type of operations at the hardware level all the way back in 2010:
Agreeing with user Zenzen's reply, the military uses standard internet security software. And remember: the military gets its equipment from the lowest bidder (unless there is a kickback, but of course we know there never are...)
You ask this question 5 days ago and never returned?
Do you mean, is or can all data be encrypted on the hard drive including the OS say like PopOS?
