I do not recall installing it on my computer. Is there any reason why I should not uninstall it? How do I prevent it from returning to my computer?
It's part of KDE framework. Some apps like ksnip are using it.
Thank you for that information. I already made a post about my inability to uninstall Ksnip. Am I correct to assume that, after I uninstall Ksnip, I can then uninstall this KDE software?
Depends, do you have any other KDE apps installed?
I do not know. Is there an easy way to check?
snap list
in the terminal.
Here is my snap list. If possible, I would like to get rid of everything snap related so I can avoid similar issues in the future. Is there a global snap uninstall command?
You can check what kind of arguments a command offer with --help
at the end, most of the time.
So for snap it would be snap --help
, to uninstall a snap package you would do snap remove [name]
.
Though i wouldn't just go around uninstall things you don't know what does. Like core22
(i have this one too), I'm not an expert in this area so anyone is free to correct me - but im pretty sure that is used by the system or even zorin itself.
I agree that it is not a good idea to go crazy with the uninstalls but Zorin should be providing an uninstall option for all the apps in its Software Store. Or, at least warning prior to installation that there is no uninstall option.
