^ I was wondering because I wants to switch to that instead, but If so then is there anything should I know about? also they should add a supports for Touch ID though.
Does the processor have ARM architecture? If yes, Zorin doesn't support that. You could install Zorin in a virtual machine or use a distribution that supports ARM architecture.
A user tried to install Zorin the following way but I wouldn't recommend that if you are not experienced and he only did it in a virtual machine, so it is not clear if it really would work on bare metal:
It should be possible by installing ubuntu in arm architecture first (there is no LTS build for arm desktop at the moment, only a daily build for desktop 24.04.3 or a LTS arm build for ubuntu server), adding the zorin ppa and installing zorin desktop.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:zorinos/stable
sudo apt update
sudo apt install zorin-os-desktop
Then reboot.
It can be done - I have done it, too. It was a lot of steps, a huge hassle and in the end, I do not feel it was worth the pain.
I also think it isn't worth to try that.
Maybe You try Asahi Linux instead.
I could, I was just wondering lol.
Yep, I was wondering if you're able to ![]()
Well, an easy Way to test it, would be to create a bootable USB Stick with Zorin on it and then start it and choose the ''Try Zorin'' Mode to see if it runs.
