Hello:
My operating system was upgraded to Zorin Os 17.3.
What strikes me is that no information has been posted about it. Usually the developers make it known on their blog when they update a version, however nothing has happened.
Does anyone know why?
Regards
Usually when it comes to the point updates, we will usually see them propogate everywhere first, and then after an amount of time (probably just to look at possible major issues that came about before making the announcement) they make a post about the version update.
It hasn't been too long so far, so I'd wager they're just making sure it's all good before making a public post about it. If most people get it without noticing it, that would be the best outcome for the upgrade imo.
Point version updates are more evolution than major changes and are carried out same as as other regular software updates.
They are not generally notified, although via other posts by the devs, we are made aware that 17.3 was due at this time. You would likely only know you were on 17.3 if you checked which version you were on.
If all is well with the update, in a few days we should then see 17.3 available for download on the ZorinOS website.
I guess when Zorin 17.3 as an ISO is officially available for Download they will make a Blog Post.
Thank you very much for addressing my concern.
If you look in your Start (App) menu>System>Tour you will see a minimal show about 17.3
