Drag and drop on Firefox doesn't work

After upgrading to 17.1 drag and drop in Firefox just pastes the file path, it doesn't really upload the file (Drag and drop fails on Firefox). Is someone else having this problem? Is it something that flat owners must resolve or it's a Portal defect?

You can try

sudo apt install xdg-desktop-portal

Or

sudo apt install --reinstall xdg-desktop-portal

as a first step. Reboot, then test.

If that does not resolve the issue, you can try using Flatseal to manage the Flatpak Firefox permissions.

xdg-desktop-portal is already at the latest version (1.14.4-1ubuntu2~22.04.1).

Portal was already installed anyway, I saw Portal processes on System Monitor. After reinstalling it and rebooting it changed nothing. Before trying with Flatseal do you think changing any of the following options would work?

Also, is it the case to install a software only for this? If I can use Flatseal even for other things it would make sense.

You can use Flatseal to manage any and all flatpak packages. IF Firefox is the only Flatpak that you have, you also could just use the new .deb supported Firefox package instead of sticking with Flatpak.
