Hi everyone,
I'm trying to set up a dual boot with Windows 10 and Zorin OS 18 Core.
My system currently has Windows 10 installed on an SSD using MBR/Legacy BIOS (American Megatrends firmware). I want to install Zorin OS alongside it in the same Legacy mode.
I created a bootable USB using Rufus with MBR and BIOS/UEFI support. However, when I open the boot menu, the USB only appears as a UEFI device. Since my Windows installation is MBR/BIOS, I want to boot the installer in Legacy mode instead.
If I disable Secure Boot and enable Legacy/CSM mode only, the USB drive no longer appears in the boot menu.
I also tried recreating the USB using UNetbootin, but ran into the same issue.
Additionally, my disk already has four primary partitions, so I’m unable to create a new EFI partition even if I wanted to switch to UEFI.
How can I get the USB to boot in Legacy/BIOS mode so I can install Zorin alongside Windows?
Thanks in advance!
