Ethernet adapter support for zorin os 18 pro

TP-Link 2.5GB PCIe Network Card (TX201) – PCIe to 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet Network Adapter, Supports Windows 11/10/8.1/8/7, Win Server 2022/2019/2016, Linux will this work on zorin os 18 pro?

As you are on Z18 Pro (based on Ubuntu 24.04), websearch using "TP-Link 2.5GB PCIe Network Card (TX201) Ubuntu 24.04". Not many hits.

But did find this: Download for TX201 | TP-Link
Linux driver listed there says: "For Linux kernel up to 5.17."
...wheras Z18 kernel is above that version.
So unclear if that driver would work, or whether the Z18 kernel maybe now contains a suitable driver for that adapter.

I do not recommend running PCI cards hoping for Linux support, since most drivers for PCI cards, are written for Windows only.

If you need an ethernet adapter, I'd use an USB dongle, as it has a much higher success rate of working, especially with (Linux) listed on the product page...
